What to expect

  • Classes are suitable for both complete beginners and those who already have experience of meditation.
  • Each evening begins with a simple guided meditation to help to stop distracting thoughts and calm the mind.
  • This is followed by a talk on a specific topic relevant to daily life and another guided meditation based on the talk.
  • Seating is in chairs but you are welcome to sit on a cushion if you prefer.
  • Classes are self contained so you can come to a whole course or just drop in when you can. No need to book.
  • Please stay on for a cup of tea afterwards!

    Bring your babies and toddlers along to these family-friendly guided meditation sessions and enjoy a peaceful half hour of relaxation.

Wednesday evenings 6.00-9.30pm with half hour break midway

  • The Foundation Programme provides a systematic presentation of particular subjects of Mahayana Buddhism and is a wonderful way to deepen your knowledge and practical experience of Buddhism.
  • We are studying Eight Steps to Happiness ~ The Buddhist Way of Loving Kindness. In this profoundly beautiful text, Geshe Kelsang reveals methods for us to develop unconditional love and compassion and transform our day-to-day living, including even the most demanding and difficult conditions, into opportunities for personal and spiritual development.

  • The Teacher Training Programme, or TTP, is for students who wish to make more commitment to the study and practice of Dharma, Buddha's teachings, and in time become fully qualified Dharma Teachers. We will be studying Mahamudra Tantra by Geshe Kelsang.
